Biography
Prof. Dr. Fathy Mostafa Seoudi was a distinguished chemist, educator, entrepreneur, and one of the prominent founders of the chemical raw materials industry in the Middle East. His professional journey extended across academia, international exposure, chemical trading, industrial representation, distribution, and manufacturing, creating a legacy that became closely connected with the development of Techno Industries.
Dr. Fathy Seoudi’s career was built on a strong scientific foundation. He graduated from the Faculty of Science, Department of Organic Chemistry, in 1961. He then continued his academic development and obtained a Doctorate degree in 1962 from Ain Shams University, specializing in organic chemical reactions and various organic compounds. This advanced scientific background gave him deep technical knowledge of chemistry and formed the basis of his later work in the chemical sector.
Following his academic qualifications, Dr. Seoudi worked in teaching both inside and outside Egypt. His academic and teaching experience extended internationally, including work in Syria, India, and Canada. This period contributed to broadening his professional exposure and gave him experience across different educational and international environments.
In 1978, Dr. Fathy Seoudi entered an important new stage in his professional journey by establishing the first company that represented a large number of international commercial agencies. Through this company, he developed relationships with several internationally recognized chemical companies and brands, including:
KVK, Hachemie, SERVO, Sun Chemical, Degussa, Semo Pearl, Prity, and Colorcon.
This marked a major expansion of his activities from academia into the commercial chemical sector. His work focused on connecting international chemical manufacturers and suppliers with customers and industries in the regional market.
Dr. Seoudi continued to expand his activities in chemical raw materials and distribution. In 1992, he supervised the establishment of The Technical Office for Import – Technochem, which specialized in the import, supply, and distribution of chemical raw materials. This development strengthened his role in the chemical supply business and further extended his involvement in serving industrial customers with essential chemical materials.
His entrepreneurial journey continued in 2006, when he supervised the establishment of ARN Chemical Trading Company. This represented another step in the expansion of his activities within the chemical trading sector and reflected the accumulated experience he had developed over several decades.
Dr. Fathy Seoudi also contributed to the industrial side of the business. He supervised the establishment of the Techno Factory for the manufacture of advanced glues and adhesives, expanding the scope of activity from trading and distribution into manufacturing. This step represented an important evolution in the business, adding local production capabilities alongside the existing commercial and distribution operations.
In 2018, Dr. Seoudi supervised the establishment and opening of what later became associated with Techno Industries, continuing the development of the business that had grown from his long experience in chemistry, chemical raw materials, international agencies, trading, distribution, and manufacturing.
Across his career, Dr. Fathy Seoudi combined scientific knowledge with practical business experience. His journey began with organic chemistry and academic teaching, developed through international exposure, and evolved into a long-term contribution to the chemical raw materials industry. Through the companies and operations he helped establish, he built a professional legacy spanning several decades.
His work created foundations in several key areas of the chemical business: international representation, chemical raw material sourcing, importing, supplying, distribution, chemical trading, and manufacturing. These activities became part of the professional heritage that continued through Techno Industries.
Dr. Fathy Seoudi passed away on 29 August 2021.
His legacy remains closely connected to the history and development of Techno Industries, reflecting a lifetime of dedication to chemistry, education, industry, and enterprise.
